Happy National Hispanic Heritage Month

As we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, the newly chartered New Mexico Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) is proud to honor the rich and diverse heritage that defines our state. New Mexico’s unique blend of culture, tradition, and history is a testament to the vibrant contributions of our Hispanic and Latino communities. As New Mexicans, we are defined by our architecture. From the cordilleras to the plaza; from the vigas to the resolana; our culture lives through the environments we have built together as a community. The adobe walls that underscore our landscape stand as testimony to the endurance and fortitude of our community. The influence of Hispanic heritage is woven into the very fabric of our built environment. This month, we reflect on the journey of our ancestors, and we celebrate the enduring spirit of unity and resilience that continues to shape our future. Join us in recognizing and cherishing the special heritage we share as New Mexicans.

Thank you,
